In recent times, Cameroon has had its fair share of Fashion events from FIAFA Fashion Show to Buea Fashion Week and many more. After the success of the 1st ever Buea Fashion Week this past summer, all eyes are on the upcoming Bamenda Fashion Week which will be taking place in December 2016 after rumors allegedly suggested that the Founder of Buea Fashion Week Reneta Ndisang was not happy that there was a Bamenda Fashion Week. In preparation for the Bamenda Fashion Week, a couple of auditions have been taking place to cast Models who will be participating in the Runway activities.
On Saturday October 1st, many models responded to the Bamenda Fashion Week Model casting call which took place in Buea, Cameroon. Among them was a little girl called Mayorchu Atem Ebai, a 7 year old Model from Cameroon who has been creating buzz ever since her major debut appearance on the runaway as the youngest Model at the 1st Urban Jamz Award!

A close source who was present in its entirety at yesterday’s audition for the Bamenda Fashion Week said that the selection process was very tough and out of 50 models that came for the audition, only 19 were selected who made the cut including Mayorchu Atem Ebai who at 7 years old, was the youngest model audtioning for it.
Her being selected comes as no suprise to those who have had the luxury of watching this little diva strut her stuff on the runaway. Ever since the Urban Jamz Award show, little Mayorchu has also been seen on the runway at the Buea Fashion Week and was casted in an upcoming movie to be released sometime in the near future. She is such an inspiration to many because of her ambtiousness, determination and love for modeling at such a young age when most are still playing with dolls and toys! We can tell you this much – Little Miss Mayorchu does NOT play on that runway and is all biz when in fashion mode!
Despite her apparent success story, the end of the day, always have to remember that at the end of the day she is just a little girl with a mom and dad and goes to school like all other kids her age.
