Hi Fashionistas! As Valentine’s Day is around the corner designers are scrambling all over to get their SS2015 Collections intact for sales as love is in the air and love sells! Or should I say when women are in love or feel loved they go on a spending spree!! Yes we already knew that! One designer who is taking full advantage of this time of the year is Anrette Ngafor, the CEO of the fashion brand Liiber London.
This Cameroonian London based Designer, who also refers to herself as Boss Lady has done it again by transcending cultural boundaries through her bold fashion line and this can be seen in her most recent collections which she calls “Bubbles” due to her love of balloons. Her SS2015 Collection is inspired by London’s urban Architecture.
Liiber London’s symbolic use of bold colors always captures the seasons trends. In the shoot which she themed “Bubbles” and which is part of her SS2015 Collection, her classy block patterns and use of polka dots ensures the collection will turn heads. When asked about the accessibility of her pieces and its price range Liiber London’s CEO said “Our pieces are limited to give our customers a style identity and our prices range from £50 to £210.” I was able to ask the Designer and Boss Lady a few questions.
THJ: What inspired you to use a Bubbles theme?
Anrette: I always wanted to shoot with balloons and I felt the season was the right time to use this theme.
Anrette Ngafor knows how to deliver her brand by using the right models to boldly express her unique style. For this Bubbles inspired photo shoot , her model of choice is the rising Cameroonian singer and star Tokee Lala. Tokee Lala is an up and coming Cameroonian Afro Pop singer who is currently creating a huge buzz all over the radio air waves of the Cameroonian music industry! THJ: How did you choose and decide who would model for this Bubbles themed photo shoot?
Anrette: I wanted a model that had a diva personality, who was not a fashion model either and Tokee was the perfect candidate for this shoot. She is fresh and a true Liiber chic!
THJ: What are thing two fashion items that every women should always have as part of their daily fashion/style and statement?
Anrette: Oh My God! Two? That’s hard but I think a Lil’ black dress and a pair of jeans is a must have because they always come very handy but I will say a red dress is also a must have for special occasions.
I can’t wait to see more from Liiber London and I definitely can’t wait to get my hands on that polka dot head wrap and burgundy front slit dress for myself! Kudos to Anrette on this one! She is truly #BornToBeABoss!
