It has only been two days since the sultry and soulful R&B singer Daphne dropped three new singles and I can tell you that so far the reviews have been pretty amazing for a newbie in the music biz!! As if the singles were not enough, today Steven’s Music Entertainment L.L.C. (SME) –Daphne’s record label released the Reflection EP Official Lyrics Video (as seen below) as if to tease the fan who obviously can’t wait for the actual Video to come out! SME is working non-stop at targeting her audience in her home country Cameroon and various African countries. Charity must begin at home right? But from what I have heard from an insider, they are endlessly working on expanding her fan base not only in Africa but globally!!
I can say that based on reading the feedback from Facebook members who are of Cameroonian descent living across the globe, many have already been converted to being Daphne fans – myself included. I like to call her fans ‘Daphnites’ who have now been converted to ‘Daphneolism’ most of who are proudly listening to Daphne’s singles on their mobile devices (thanks to the power of iTunes, Amazon Google Play and others). Oh and Steven’s Music Entertainment has not forgotten about those Daphnites in Cameroon as they are working on making sure that they can also easily access her songs too so all you Daphne Fans aka Daphnites in Cameroon… be on the look out for this! The single ‘Reflection‘ has a very nice beat to it and may I dare say she had me thinking a little bit about Rihanna while I listened to that song…and there is ‘Broken‘ where she sings “…heart breaker you no go ever see my heart because I am already heart broken…” Need I say more? You need to listen them yourself or you sure are missing out!!
I cannot end this by saying that it is refreshing to see a Cameroonian owned record label like Steven’s Music Entertainment L.L.C utilizing various outlets to promote this Diva. They understand the music business and seem to know the importance of having a good PR & Marketing Team . They are definitely shooting for the stars and boy are they flying high! With that said I can’t wait for her new video’s! to come!
