Last night, the town of Buea was apparently buzzing with Cameroonian artists, entertainers and fashionista’s who attended the 1st ever Urban Jamz Awards show which is one of many award shows that celebrates and awards Cameroonian artists. Our sources tell us that this particular award show was very interesting and one of the highlights of last nights event was the fashion show which featured work from up and coming designer’s Rachel Manyiabot Ayamba and Jeanne Bladine for the We Trend Ankara brand that primarily incorporates African print material in most if not all of their designs from street styles to evening gowns.
THJ caught up with Rachel right after the show we and her how she felt about being a part of the Award night. Here’s what she has to say “We Trend Ankara felt so honored and privileged participating at the first edition of the Urban Jamz Awards. It was a great opportunity and initiative. We hope to take part again in the up coming edition. Kudos to the Urban jamz awards CEO Mr Atia Valery.” I’m pretty sure she will be doing another fashion show at the next award show but until then check out what these beautiful models wore for the fashion show and tell me which outfit is your favorite outfit!
