For those of you who are into African movies/fashion and who follow the Cameroonian modeling and movie industries, you may or may not know this young up and coming talent called Mayohchu Atem-Ebai. Mayohchu who hails from the SouthWest Region of Cameroon but lives in Douala is fast becoming a household name and inspiration to many.
At the tender age of 8 years old, this little girl has the mindset of a mature adult and has achieved a lot more many people 3 times her age from a career perspective! She has attended many runway shows as a model and just recently acted in a movie called “E Do“. The HotJem first got introduced to her via the African print fashion brand “We Trend Ankara” where she was one of their models and the youngest model at the 1st edition of the Urban Jamz Award in Buea, Cameroon.
Since then we’ve been facinated by her energy and determination to build a career in fashion as a model and now add Award-winning actress to her little growing CV! Congratulations to you Mayohchu on winning Best Young Talent (for her role in the movie E Do) at The African Fashion Festival – TAFF that took place in Dallas, TX from June 30th-July 3rd, 2017. We caught up with her Manager to inquire why Mayohchu did not go to Dallas for TAFF Award show and we were told that it was due to “short notice”. Congratulations Mayohchu on your big win and wishing you continued success! 🙂
