Marvels Comic-Book legend and brains behind most of the worlds greatest and most popular superhero characters is dead!! Stanley Martin Lieber popularly known as Stan Lee died today at age 95. Thankfully, he lived long enough to see his fictional characters evolve from comic books into mega and larger than life multi-billion dollar movies seen worldwide. Stan Lee was formerly the Editor-in-Chief (later it’s Publisher) of MARVELS COMICS which produced movies (with fictional characters that he co-created) like Spider-Man, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil and many more.
I’m sure everyone of you reading this has watched at least one movie and/or read one of the comic-books that he co-created. Not only did helive long enough to see his comic books become Box-Office hits but he witnessed first hand how almost all if not all of his fictional characters took a life of its own, not only as Box-Office hits, but how it impacted and influenced the lives of both children and adults. Imagine a Halloween without super heros like Spiderman costume! One thing is for sure, he lived to enjoy the fruits of his labor for so many years.
We will end this with a very meaningful and inspiring quote from Stan Lee as seen on Marvel’s website in a tribute made to the Comic legend and we hope it inspires those of you who have dreams and are chasing or want to chase your dreams even if society does not percieve it to be as the “norm”. Don’t be scared to be different and venture out from doing something that isn’t the norm:
“I used to be embarrassed because I was just a comic book writer while other people were building bridges or going on to medical careers. And then I began to realize: entertainment is one of the most important things in people’s lives. Without it, they might go off the deep end. I feel that if you’re able to entertain, you’re doing a good thing.”
