Many of you who are football lovers mostly likely know that #Egypt will be hosting #AFCON2019 after #Cameroon was embarrassingly removed from hosting it in because the country was not ready security-wise and all. Egypt hasn’t hosted it in over 10 years and would need 6 months to prepare to host it, so good luck to them!
The funny thing is that people have taken to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction of this decision and many are asking why Egypt is hosting it when they don’t consider themselves as Africans. Others are pointing out that Egypt is not safe as well from a security perspective due bombings and attacks. All we can say is that politics might have taken a place in the decision making processes.
