Loyalty is the ability to put others ahead of you and stand with them through good and bad times. It is one of the rarest things nowadays, as everyone wants to be on the spotlight, hence their ego and the quest to do the latter, overshadows the purpose of be it friendship or an agreement. When times are bad, most people tend to leave and form excuses.
Most often, talent and business may fail but loyalty is something that never fails, and that’s why the ones who are loyal to each, other go through thick and thin, but purpose defines and determines how far both will go and they would go further than you may think.
It is no news that we see most people who used to look inseparable, break up and start living like worst enemies just because one of them was disloyal.
In as much as such cases are common, there are rare cases and the case of Cameroonian female music super star Daphne and her manager Pearl Louma, have continued to stick and grow with each other. Amazing right?
It is really surprising, as disloyalty is very common between women.
But the two mentioned above have stood the hands of time in what could be considered as a small but very difficult entertainment industry. While Daphne has come from just an ordinary girl with mind blowing talent, to an award winner touring across the world, she has done all that with her manager, who took Daphne’s business like hers.
Both have been breaking records together. Funniest thing is, many people don’t know about Pearl and her influence on the latter’s career. She has been able set up her own business and has become one of the most talked about brands in Cameroon – Spell Kootor. Both could have been frightened and intimidated by their success, but they have stuck together and don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Their success didn’t intimidate them!
Pearl is, if not as we speak, Daphne’s stylist and at the same time, her manager. Daphne could have chosen to get any dress from anywhere at any amount, but she patronizes Spell Kootor and that should be an eye opener for anyone and specially artists with managers.
