An impeccable cultural display in Remiiofficial ‘s latest single entitled “Yayato” featuring Steven’s Music Entertainment rap representative, Boy TAG
Since Remii signed up for Kang Quintus Music, the young Cameroonian lover boy has been on a trajectory… His career didn’t only make an impressive turn, however, it’s made him even more mature. Remii has always been known for his slow soulful music delivery, especially with his scintillating vocals and charismatically charming looks.
In his latest release, he does his love thing as usual, but this time, accelerated it, to what might be a club banger. We’ve seen him do a similar thing in his song with Ko-c, in “Ma vie” which garnered over 239k streams on YouTube and some loud street and airplay.
The new year is looking even more promising with the release of “Yayato”, which we can harmlessly admit that is one of the best productions of 2022, so far. Boy Tag is known for his comically stammering trade mark intro, the same thing he did on Yayato, reminding us about what influence he can bring to any project. Besides his intelligence, he’s without doubt one of those versatile young African artists many think he’s not where he deserves to be.
Seeing two young men with huge ambitions and with a huge desire to be heard, you can’t hesitate to hit the link that concerns them.
Yayato is mixed and mastered by K Master K Mix , directed by Kang Quintus and as well, produced by Rappnem Drummer , who is proving to be Phillbill ‘s successor.
STORYLINE
The story line of Yayato, which is very relatable in our day-to-day life, can summarized as such; The video begins with a group of guys, drinking palm wine, while chatting in a village square, when beautiful girl who was just from fetching firewood walk-passed by, and caught Remii’s attention, who left his guys to go talk with her. As the video continues, it suddenly becomes the fight between two guys as Boy Tag comes into the scene.
Both are professing their love for this beautiful girl (the vixen). One of them is influential, (Boy Tag) and has everything to have the girl in question, but ironically, there is a twist as the Girl instead loves the less influential guy (Remii). Predictably, the song/video ends with the influential guy bullying the less influential guy, to forcefully walk away with the girl who doesn’t love him anyway, but he didn’t give an F!
We’re rating this piece of music 4/5 . This is so because the song is short. It’s just 2:47 mins. Why will a beautiful piece be that short ? You know, when you listen to good music but can’t get enough of it? You get that feeling…
About the dancers, they did an amazing cultural display. Two talented guys, and one lady, who’re invested in their job (dancing), and their countenance, throughout the video was what even makes their dance sweet. This was a thorough scout by Kang Quitus music. What can’t be overlooked about their dance is the fact that they spent time dancing around a flaming goblet of fire, and seemed very unbothered.
