Despite the poor organization, there were some positives aspects of the event. Fally Ipupa’s performance was amazing and he set theentire crowd ablaze with a scintillating performance that at least lightened the frustration that was already poured out by the organizers.
Other highlights of the night included the finals of the True Music Challenge. The winner walked away with 1.500,000 FCFA and an album to be produced by Cameroonian record label – Big Dreams Entertainment. The winner’s album is to get free promo from Ballantine’s and to be partly mentored by Fally Ipupa.
One of the few questions that were posed to the Ballantines ambassador Fally Ipupa during the ‘Meet and Greet’ was what becomes of the other finalists who wouldn’t win the finals?
He said “We will still be working with them. We have their name inour database.”
Albeit, the concert that started at 19:00 GMT +1, finished at about 2:00 am GMT +1, sealed by a thunderstorm performance by Fally Ipupa who had a few people on stage.
