Nigerian superstar couple 2Face aka 2Baba and wife Annie Idibia have been the center of attention since yesterday after the singer apologized to his wife on his Instagram page for causing her and his children pain.
2Face who has in the past issued several apologies to her for infidelity did not mention what he was apologizing for. The couple have had countless shares of social media backlash over the years but have stuck to each despite their trials.
“Las las this is no stunt. I’m sorry for all the embarrassment I’ve caused my wife, my kids, my mother and all our families and my management team. I’m not looking for no sympathy. I’m not trying to make myself look good. This is no reverse psychology bullshit I simply just don’t want to be the one that always apologize. I’ve been a shitty father and a shitty husband and shitty baby daddy. I have no excuses. I just want to do right my wife, and my kids and their moms and my mom and all families and my manager and friends.
I beg ya all to pls just face me and cancel me anyhow m I’ve been a star for so long that my bulletproof vest is worn-out I’m not quitting or suicidal or giving up. I just want to go back to my default settings and denounce my role mod status and make up lost time with my kids and give y’all music that will make make u remember and understand why they call me 2BABA”. – 2Baba said.
Annie’s warm and sweet response to her husband’s apology was everything though controversial to the online community. She replied saying,
“I love you till I Die. Coming back home soon”
There’s an African saying that goes like this; In life, anything weh concern man and yi woman, no put your mop dey which when translated from Pidgin English to English goes like this; In life, don’t put your mouth in anything that has to do with and man and his woman or wife.
This simply means that when it comes to a man and his female significant other, don’t get involved in their affairs or issues because you will end up being the enemy. Imagine the friends or people who might have told Annie to not accept her husbands apology for all the drama he has caused.
Those friends might now look foolish and might come across as being bad friends as she accepted his apology, even though their advised her not to and they might have done so out of love and based on the couples tumultuous history together.
