Anthony Joshua Injured in Nigeria Car Crash That Killed Two People
British boxer Anthony Joshua has been injured in a car accident in Nigeria that resulted in the deaths of two people, according to reports from international media.
The crash occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. Authorities said the vehicle Joshua was traveling in was involved in a collision with a stationary truck. Joshua was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and is reported to be in stable condition.
Local officials confirmed that two other occupants of the vehicle died as a result of the crash, while additional passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
Joshua had been in Nigeria during the holiday period, days after a high-profile boxing match in the United States. He has not yet made a public statement regarding the accident.
The news has prompted renewed conversations around road safety in Nigeria, particularly on major highways known for heavy traffic and frequent accidents.
