The 2020-2021 calendar year has proven to be an exciting one for the entertainment industry. The things fans used to wish for are turning into reality as time goes by. For example, last year, most artists were under scrutiny for putting all energy into singles and snubbing the importance of albums and projects. However, the 2020/21 calendar year has brought a fresh breeze of albums and they are already uncountable which is a huge plus for the Industry.
Artists like Salatiel, Meshi, Mic Monsta, Spido, Cysoul and Charlotte Dipanda have already released amazing projects in 2021 and there are other major projects pending which will hopefully be available next month, based on background info and hints. They include:
1) URBAN BANTU: After turning the tables around in his favor and shining the light even more brighter on his career, Rapper – MiNk’s is ready to serve his anxious and hungry fans with an album. MiNk’s have proven to be a force to reckon with. A date confirmed for the album release has been set for June 18, 2021. We can’t say for sure what our expectations are but it will be an exciting piece.
2) GENESIS: Rapper/Singer Ko-c did confirm that he’s done with his album and all that is left is just a release date. He has titled the Album Genesis, meaning the “The Origin”. Ko-c’s growth has been imminent and evident and he confirmed this with “Caleçon” in 2020 which is still a hit song. After bidding farewell to his former label, one who ups have expected him to have it even much more difficult but the rapper has been effortless to say the least.
After organizing a home coming concert this year in Kumba, which equally increased his fan base, more responsibility has been added and his album anticipation has been uncontrollable. While awaiting a title and date for his upcoming album, be rest assured that food is ready and it will be served soonest.
3) BLACK GIRL MAGIC: Black Girl Magic is one of the most anticipated albums in the industry so far, especially by a female artist. This is the title of Rinyu ‘s album which will make her one of the few female artists to have wrapped up an album. Most have been able to compile Extended Plays (Eps) and others are stuck with singles. The album is set to drop anytime from the Month of June. This summarizes her Consistency and dedication to her art and we have been experiencing a glimpse of this “Black Girl Magic” haven’t we ?
