The Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has appointed Belgian Marc Brys as the new head coach Cameroon’s national soccer team, the Indomitable Lions, one month after the departure of coach Rigobert Song.
The 61-year-old Belgian coach will take charge of Cameroon with little or no time to prepare the team ahead of the World Cup 2026 qualifiers.
Marc Brys has had some experience from coaching clubs in Belgium and Holland, and his portfolio isn’t bad judging from what he has been able to do with in his career.
However, taking over Cameroon could prove a different challenge, given the level of expectation from the Indomitable Lions’ den. Cameroon and Brys will now turn attention towards the 2025 African Nations Cup.
