Time consciousness is the biggest problem faced by most Cameroonian events and shows and seriously, it is becoming a lifestyle.
No one seems to give a damn about time consciousness again when hosting shows. It could be cool for other shows, but for a reality TV show, the team must work tirelessly to address this problem or else they’ll face issues bigger than just sponsorship.
The red carpet event for the launching was programmed to begin at 5 PM, it began by 7 PM or so.
I remember our media outlet (The HotJem) was streaming live from the venue and people who really wanted to watch the full program had given up and were not online to watch it when we did go live. Why? Because they were tired of waiting for it as it started a couple of hours later than what indicated in their promotional flyers.
The Biggy 237 organizing team should take this issue of time very seriously because you don’t make people leave their houses for a show that is to begin at 5 PM only to start the show at 7 PM. Extreme tardiness is very disrespectful to your audience and to crown the disrespect, there was never an official statement addressing the late start or apologizing for it.
The branding of the show does not really need 100 million FCFA. The outlook of the project and presentation to the public is what really matters.
The graphics need to step up a little more and much more better publicity needs to be done for the initiative to go places. The idea behind the logo is great and if this show is branded very well, we can all smile later on.
