Hilda Baci has got the brains and beauty to go with her cooking brand! To think that she had to cook for four days straight to break the Guinness Book of World Records. Now, that’s tenacity right there!
Ever since she recently broke the Guinness Book Of World Records in May for the longest cooking time, she has amassed approximately 500,000 Instagram followers in less than four days. Many who have just learned about her as a result of her breaking this record will think she became successful and got to where she is overnight. If you are one of those people, then think again, because you’re wrong.
Hilda Baci has been a well known chef for years, at least in the Nigerian community (and if Nigerians recognize your work, then you have partially blown), and she has gradually been growing her brand. She was already making food for clients and this win only provided with the added exposure needed.
This is why many successful people always advise those trying to build their brands and business to always be ready for that moment when an opportunity comes knocking at your door which usually happens when one least expects it. Putting in the work over the years might seem like a waste of time if you are not seeing much progress but what it does is it creates an extensive portfolio work you have accumulated overtime.
Prior to her name being added to the history books, if you look at her Instagram page you will see that she has been actively posting and had a following.
Fast forward to now, her being consistent with her work and content has allowed hundreds of thousands of others who recently stumbled on her page to see all the work she has been doing prior to breaking the record she did. Imagine if she had very little information on her Instagram page, I highly doubt people would follow her the way they are now.
The moral of the story is, be ready for when your turn comes. You just never know where that opportunity will arise from.
