One of the artists who does not really make it to the headlines as he should is Nigerian superstar Timaya. “Papi Chulo” as he is also called, debuted his unsung musical career in 2005 and has been able to unpack about four albums and a plethora of singles, with most of them becoming hits.
The artist who hails from Bayelsa, Nigeria is a motivation to most dancehall artists in particular and to musicians in general as he is labeled “the most traveled” African dancehall artist.
He has performed in Sweden, Australia, USA, Germany, Barbados, Switzerland, Malaysia, St. Lucia, Uganda, Kenya, Italy, England, Spain, Austria, Turkey, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Norway, Rwanda, Cyprus, and Equatorial Guinea, Malawi, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, The Netherlands, Greece, Dominica, The Gambia, France, Finland, South Africa, UAE and Trinidad and Tobago.
These are the countries we know of, there might be more we did not capture on our list.
