“My music is basically stories about my background, upbringing and how far, I have come…” – BeingNgang
BeingNgang: Nice Guys Corporation is a advertising and media firm here in Minneapolis and it really came about from me exploring and putting all the gifts God has blessed me with to good use. Find more about that at niceguyscorporation.com.
THJ: What can your fans expect from you soon and will you be doing any local or international concerts anytime soon?
BeingNgang: Yup, I can’t say but I might be in Cameroon sooner than they think!
THJ: What advice would you give to Cameroonian and/or other up and coming artists who live in the diaspora for them to better succeed in the industry?
BeingNgang: Be unconventional, study the industry and dare to do things no one has ever done before.
THJ: Why do you think that Cameroonian music is not yet as respected as other African countries like Nigeria, Ghana and even South Africa?
BeingNgang: The people. Our people only respect you if you are dead or after the other people start respecting you.
THJ: How did your African background influence your music and are you signed to any record label?
BeingNgang: It influenced me a lot. If you listened to #Unonome, you would know. My music is basically stories about my background, upbringing and how far, I have come and no, I am not signed to anyone, currently my company produces and manages me. Again, I would love to bless a Cameroonian-based record label with what I have in store.
THJ: Tell us one fun fact about you that no one else knows or very few people know about you.
BeingNgang: I am an entrepreneur before anything else. Not a model or a musician but a CEO of a credible marketing firm here in Minneapolis.
THJ: Come on… that is not a fun fact lol! Anyone could look have looked that up lol. We will let that answer slide this time around as you were fun to interview. We wish you all the best with your music and as an entrepreneur and behalf of The HotJem Team, thank you very much for this interview and wishing you success with your latest song You Don’t Know Me.
BeingNgang: Thank you too. I appreciate you having me as well. I hope you all enjoy my song and especially my dance moves in the #unonome video. I have dance competition as well as a meme competion of $500 dollars coming up. So watch that video closely. And please, don’t forget to find more about me on my website and social media. I can’t wait to be back in Cameroon.
