Cameroonian martial artist Francis Ngannou has made significant progress over the years, since he became a professional fighter. The journey hasn’t easy for the former UFC heavyweight Champion, but he has handled the setbacks and taken some calculated life-changing risks along the way.
Ngannou’s decision to quit the Ultimate Fighting Championship, didn’t only make him gain freedom, but it made him to take some risks which have all ended saving his face and earning him much respect in combat sports as a whole.
Since 2015, Ngannou’s progress, has been undisputed. This includes his financial gains and his influence as a whole.
According to The Sports Daily, Ngannou reportedly made somewhere in the region of $22,500 for his UFC debut in 2015. When he took out Alistair Overeem in 2017, he earned $90,000. In 2018, Ngannou earned $500,000 in his first fight against Stipe Miocic, a losing effort for the UFC heavyweight title. Against Derrick Lewis, another loss, he reportedly earned $105,000.
Rebounding against Curtis Blaydes in 2018, Ngannou made $255,000, compared to $26,500 in their first fight in 2016. In 2021, he reportedly made about $580,000 when he fought against Miocic to clinch the UFC heavyweight Champion for the very first time.
Ngannou in his title defense against Ciryl Gane, made about $600,000 according to Talksport. This was the Predator’s last match in the UFC as he decided to quit the division and embark on boxing.
In his first boxing outing against Tyson Fury,, it is reported that he made about $10 million.
He went on to make roughly $20 million in his last fight against Anthony Joshua. He has lost both games between Fury and Joshua in his first two boxing attempts.
Francis Ngannou will be making his PFL debut in October. His influence has been tremendous and his social media handles have continued to grow.

Under his current deal with the PFL, Ngannou will earn a high seven-figure purse for each fight, with a minimum salary (as high as $1 million) for his opponent. He will also appear on the PFL’s global advisory board and was named chairman and equity owner of PFL Africa according to Sportnews.
GivemeSports reports that Ngannou’s net worth currently stands about about $35 million, all thanks to several endorsements couple with the earnings from the two biggest contests in the boxing ring against Fury and Joshua, respectively.
