The 4th Annual Urban Jamz Awards is around the corner. The event which has historically taken place in Buea, Cameroon will now take place at the Salle De Fete in Akwa, Douala due to the unstable situation in Cameroon due to the ongoing Anglophone crises that has led to many people and most of the artists, producers and the people in the entertainment industry that resided in Buea and other towns in the South West Regions to move to safety outside of the South West Region. Most moved to Douala as it is closer to the SW than Yaoundé – the capital.
The award show which was a big success last year, will be honoring people in music and who have had a major impact in the Cameroonian entertainment industry. Like last year, this years event was endorsed and sponsored by a good number of Cameroonian people and businesses in the Diaspora the Urban Jamz Awards is getting recognition globally and not only in Cameroon.
A night filled with stars and the who is who in the entertainment industry, you do not want to miss out on the action as it will start off with it’s highly anticipated red carpet event hosted by and then the Awards Show followed by an after party… where? We do not know but all we know is that it will be a night of celebrities, fashion and fun! This year’s Urban Jamz Awards hosts will be Radio and TV personalities Eva Sobila and Christian Fonkam while the red carpet host will be Joan Ngoumba who also hosted last year’s red carpet event.
