Janet is a blessed Kenyan woman who has unapologetically spearheaded her gospel career and is now referenced across Africa and the world at large. Married and a mother of three, Janet started her music career in 2013 after having a difficult time regaining her health after a long time. She says where she is and who she is, is based on the biggest testimony of her life which was seeing her health restored by the grace of God.
Despite having a hit song in 2014 which paved a way for her, the song that truly paves a way for her is the one we have chosen to share with you titled “Pokea“. In Pokea (see video below), Janet sang (translated into in English as),
“When I sit down and think about how far I have come, tears flow from my eyes. I don’t know how to say how good You have been to me. You have been my pillar of strength. You have taught me patience and you have protected me all through. Receive my gratitude.”
