There is an online community of doubters who have tried to rule out the fact that Chidinma is not the most followed gospel singer because she did not gain all those followers as a gospel singer but had garnered much popularity before switching to gospel music. Therefore, her high following does not allow for her to be labeled as “the most followed African gospel singer/minister.”
However, it does not change the fact that she is topping the charts in this genre of music even with her recent switch. This can only suggest that not only does she have large following, but one that actively listens to her gospel music.
