Frank Edwards is one of the most recognized gospel artists in Africa not just because of his voice but because of how he connects with this generation. While many still think gospel music lives only inside church walls, Frank shows what it looks like when music meets mission and branding meets calling.
Born and raised in Nigeria, he started playing piano in church as a child. Today, he’s a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and founder of Rocktown Records. But beyond the titles, it’s his intentional connection with people, especially millennials and Gen Z that sets him apart. His social media is full of real worship, prayer, music previews, and messages that remind young people that gospel music is creative, powerful, and relevant.
Some still say gospel music doesn’t need branding. But Frank proves that when your message is clear, consistent, and excellent, branding becomes ministry. From his lyrics to his look to his sound, everything speaks of worship and purpose and it draws people in without compromising the message.
Two of his most loved songs, Under the Canopy and Miracle Rain, are joyful and full of hope. They’re not just songs to listen to they’re songs to move to, sing with, and experience. Churches across Africa play them, youth groups share them, and online they keep trending because they speak the language of praise and joy this generation understands.

Frank Edwards reminds us that gospel music can be both sacred and modern. His journey shows that being a gospel artist today means being a minister, a creative, and a communicator. When you know your assignment and walk in it boldly, your sound travels far and your faith shines even louder.
