Bill Gates says a “final hurdle” to distributing a COVID-19 vaccine will be ensuring that people decide to take it. After investing over $300 million in the research and findings that will fight COVID-19, American billionaire and co-founder of Microsoft is adamant about patients consuming these drugs as he believes that’s the final road block.
“It really could then exponentially drop the numbers,” Gates said. “But we need that for the entire world if we’re going to go back and have people taking vacations, international students, international sports events. So it’ll take a while until we get this thing finished off on a global basis.”
Over 40% of American adults according to a recent survey have said they would use the vaccine if approved by the Food and drug Administration while 38% have said they would take the drug after extensive peer-reviewed trials. Others would rather wait until the majority of the population takes it, to see the outcome and/or before they decide to take it or not. However, Gates while speaking to CNN finalized that people will take the drug if it was available.
