HOW AFRICAN HIP-HOP IS BUILDING NEW BRIDGES AND BURNING OLD ONES DURING CONFINEMENT
Since the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic, African hip-hop has been booming and keeping us all entertained during this difficult time. As far as music is concern, it is fair to say that the Hip-Hop genre is the most fierce and deadly genre. This is that genre where friends become enemies and enemies hardly become friends. Everyone wants to be king and they want to be heard and known for something that no other person is known for. No one wants to accept that another is bigger or smarter.
During this lock down period (resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic), African entertainment has been scaling up to another level from one update to the other. It’s no longer about in-house battles, but the fight about who is who has now increasingly exceeded national borders.
