HOW AFRICAN HIP-HOP IS BUILDING NEW BRIDGES AND BURNING OLD ONES DURING CONFINEMENT
Lyrical Joe is back
For some noticeable period now, Ghanaian up coming rapper – Lyrical Joe, has been a torn on the flesh of some big names in African Hip-Hop. As the African proverb goes, “when a child washes his hands well, he’s eligible to dine with the elders“. However, the elders don’t seem to be acknowledging the presence of the growing child as their maturity is being question and so the child might just have to take it by force.
In 2019, Lyrical Joe broke into the Cameroon music industry like a thief in the night and had a lot of Cameroonian’s grumbling as he seemed to have dug deeper than he was supposed to. This gave him the attention he might have wanted and that is a plus for his smartness. He was aiming for a bigger vulture – Jovi (a Cameroonian rapper) , who shook the table with a tweet aiming at the most respected African rappers, but he didn’t see a certain Joe, aka Lyrical Joe in the picture.
