HOW AFRICAN HIP-HOP IS BUILDING NEW BRIDGES AND BURNING OLD ONES DURING CONFINEMENT
Lyrical Joe Versus Poker Ship
Cameroonian rapper Poker Ship, has however been caught in the mix as he believes that his versatility and vibrancy is what can put the Ghanaian up-comer, where he belongs. Poker Ship‘s entrance into this rap battle should not be surprising to many. The Cameroonian rapper who has hit the streets of the United States before making his way back to his home land and with some attractive projects on deck, knows exactly where to hit it hard and where it will hurt most.
He too, in an attempt to end the thug of war, got into the studio just like Lyrical Joe and released a diss song aiming at the Ghanaian rapper which he titled “RIP Lyrical Joe“
The predictable Lyrical Joe, who doesn’t aim for anything other than the throat, was instead targeting the bigger guns i.e. Jovi and Kao Denero and that is why Lyrical Joe’s new diss track is titled “2 Birds“. They say ‘birds of a feather flock together’ right? But the Ghanaian proved he has a personal problem with Jovi as he spent over 3 minutes of his 4 minute track aiming at Jovi, but he not gotten a reply yet from the Cameroonian rapper.
Conclusion
The young shall grow right? It is at this juncture that we confirm that Lyrical Joe and Poker Ship might just end up emerging as new enemies of this trending rap battle. It’s unclear who the better rapper is as both artists have their strengths from their unprecedented lyrical power. They are phenomenal African talents and it will take only the fans to say who is the winner, the better rapper and why.
A collaboration between Jovi and Kao Denero is likely to happen as the unpredictable Cameroonian rapper Jovi did not find it an issue dropping one together with the Sierra Léon rap god.
Some bridges are burning while others are being build. Keep your eyes and ears open for new developments. For now, let our full focus be on Ghanaian rapper Lyrical Joe and Cameroonian rapper Poker Ship.
