Many artists want to hit heights, without jumping at all. By this, what do I mean? Wanting to stand tall because you belive you have what it takes, without really doing what it takes to.
Marbel Ewane, known musically as Marnick Official , was officially unveiled a few days ago, via a stunning press release by Kwata Music INC – Cameroonian record label, headlined by Mic Monsta Official .
Marnick, who had been making some noticeable musical moves before now, has officially been announced and declared fit for the task that lies ahead. It should be noted that, though she has linked up with artists like Tzy Panchak in “Put your hands on we”, the 25 year old was acquired by Kwata music in 2019 behind close doors, where she underwent, with endearment, a thorough music mentorship program. That she was patient to follow through with the mentorship program and wait for the plans the label had for her, is amazing and it has actually paid off.
She tagged alongside Mic Monsta, Dready Christ & Torch city, in their latest music project called “Days Like This”.
The song features all artists under the auspices of Kwata music. This project is also a pathway for Marnick’s forthcoming EP, titled “Mutumbu”. This project is beginning to make me feel like Marnick could be one of the biggest money making assets (artists) acquired by Mic Monsta. Maybe I’m being too ambitious. Only time will tell.
For Kwata Music to secure the signature of Marnick despite the caliber of artists they already have, it doesn’t only mean it’s because she passed the mentorship test. It equally means that, she has some juice to add to the table. It can’t cost you less, investing in a female artist, especially one who’s going to take time to repay the investor.
Mindful of the fact that, the label has got Dready, not just as a president therein, but as an artist as well, not leaving out Torch City, who’re quite promising. Financing these names can’t be easy. So for Marnick to be signed therein, means that the label is ready to spearhead her career.
However, this is why she might pay the label sooner than any other artist on the label.
Talent has hardly been the problem around here. The problem has always been marketing these talents and getting a good return on investment. Most labels have fallen out with artists, Simply coz they kept pumping in money and not making anything in return. Kwata Music is bypassing this trap with Kwata Pikin merchandise.
Marnick will in the months ahead be shutting down night clubs and events after her EP, without any doubts. But before that comes, she’s already a good model, good enough to market the label’s merch. She’s beautiful and has a good skin to do adverts for most of their outfits, and to rep the brand’s image, and thus spearheading sales.
This is how smart Mic Monsta is. I won’t be surprised, if Mic was the richest Cameroonian artist in the years ahead. He’s sowing some mustard seeds that will eventually germinate to form huge trees.
Say welcome to an additional musical asset to the industry – Marnick.
