HOW MIC MONSTA HAS TURNED A “KWATTA” INTO A KINGDOM
By Pureyuvenity
Born in Kumba – Cameroon, on February 6, 1991, Molua Alous Mosima aka Mic Monsta Official is a Cameroonian Hip Hop recording artist (rapper) who has constantly been on the rise since he started professional music. Like any other rapper with a story and tough past, Mic has firmly battled his way to the top with much determination and intent.. He’s one of those who have had his own share of Record label & Artist saga. Mic was signed as the first official artist in Kreef Entertainment now #SaMajeste, a Record Label that offered him a five year contract but before 2017, his relationship with the label had gone south maybe for inconsistency reasons but there seems to have been a mix up somewhere.

Under Kreef Entertainment, Mic pulled out some amazing hit songs at his debut level with the label like “Fear” “Kwatta State Of Mind” and “Mic Monsta the EP” just to name a few. The positive response from the audience when Mic released “Fear” could already hint what the future held for him.
Well, as unfavorable as the terms were between himself and his former label, Mic would dare to create his own label called Kwatta Music Inc. after quitting the from Krefeld Entertainment. Since 2017, Mic Monsta has continued to raise the bar with hard work and big moves. He’s unarguably one of the few #Cameroonian rappers who won’t make two songs without one of them being a hit. The ideal thing about his songs is that, their messages are highly relatable reasons why they get much of the attention they do. Looking at Mic Monsta’s career from three years ago till now, there is no longer any doubt about his authenticity and relevance in the industry!
He has earned the trust of many and is increasingly securing his place as one of the most critical and crucial lyricists in Cameroonian music. With “Johnny” which is one the best songs out of Cameroon in the last two years and “Positive Vibes” still trending, Mic is already consistently working on other projects. He’s working on his studio album, but a Remix of “Johnny” featuring an already global Salatiel will drop first.
He has made it clear that he’s the “Lyrical Elephant- Njorku” and who would argue when his bars and punchlines are so unmatched? It is for obvious reasons that many tag him “The Mayor of the Punchline District.”
Mic Monsta might not yet be global but with the degree of work he has put in and the amazing reviews we get from the streets, it becomes really confusing how someone does a countdown of top ten Cameroonian rappers and still excludes him. Well, we all have different criteria but it is really good to always spell them out so people get the memo!
In terms of entrepreneurship, Mic isn’t looking to end his career broke like some artists have, and he’s not battling that with music alone. His Kwatta Pikin clothing brand is continuously gaining grounds and become a household brand as well. The top five Cameroonian clothing brands by rappers would have Mic’s brand among them.

Looking at the sheepish and tremendous progress “Njorku” has made over the years, we can confidently say Mic succeeded to turn the “Small Kwatta” he established years back, into a growing “Kingdom”. His fan base is authentic and very supportive. He gives them what they want and knows how to serve them the goods. He has done his home work and the target now will be to conquer Africa and to be fair, he’s got the keys in his pocket.
