Although some of us music lovers love the fun, but we love the growth of the African music industry more, as such, anything that makes the industry go forward, is what we are going to project.
Looking at Central Africa, with a focus on Cameroon, for those who know Stanley Enow, if you’ve ever doubted Stanley Enow’s smartness, this is the time for you to wake-up from your slumber and respect this gentleman. One of the things you can’t take away from him, is the fact that he’s steadily and factually been on rampage for eight years and counting. That’s not a days job. It takes one hundred and ten years to achieve such confidence and influence, out of 36 years, Stanley has used just eight years to cement his smartness and branding skills over every single CAMEROONIAN artist (facts though)
After coming into the music scene in 2013, he went straight to win the MTV Base awards in 2014, an achievements that only he has managed from Cameroon. This is what he communicates in his new song “Nyongo”, as according to him, he has waited for a successor all these years, but none has showed up. As a matter of fact, the MTV Base awards is a milestone that only he holds, and according to him, waiting for his successor has been like waiting for Bobrisky to give birth to a bouncing baby boy, or should I say Shakiro? Lol!!
Now, Stanley’s “Nyongo” can best be understood by successful people who get shot in the leg by doubters, who think they use extra powers to succeed. Nyongo in Cameroon means “Witchcraft or rituals”, so obviously, the Nyongo song is Stanley denying allegations that ssy that he’s a ritualist, but that his success has only come from hard-work. This is not arguable, as for you to stay on top of the pile, you’ll get such accusations over and over, but then, only you behind the scenes know how much work you Put in.
Stanley has been strategic and his big moves can’t even make him any humble. Chilling with Eto’o, Busta Rhymes, Fally Ipupa, being one of the few people Davido knows from “237”, can’t make you any more humble can it ? Well, it was more humbling when Davido called him out for a million naira birthday gift which ended in a fiasco, but that’s quite understood, as it would have meant at least 3 million CFA. Still, give Enow’s team kudos for extraordinary PR skills. Are you doubting why? Let me explain further…
Stanley trying to use a single unapologetic post to get Jovi down his “D” by just simply acknowledging someone he once said was “just jealous” of him some years ago? Well Jovi with his influence and persona won’t fall for that nar!! Let’s say Ko-c, Tenor , would rush to feel acknowledged by the King Kong, but hey bruh, this is Hip Hop not Some R&B or afrobeat, where these dudes are easily persuaded. They got to the peak of their game with so much effort, being ignored and being downgraded, so how do you wake up and acknowledge them when they’ve already succeeded to cement a spot for themselves, when you didn’t do so when they solicited for that shout-out ?
Coz social media is what it is, you’ll get your supporters, even if you messed up, but do you know there’s people who master the trick ? I mean, everyone would Consider Stanley’s shout out to other rappers when Kenyan platform recognized him as the only high profile blower from Camer…. What happened all these years ? Did it take a platform with 4k followers for you to realize that: Jovi, Maahlox, Ko-c, Tenor et Al are great ? Why point out this when you can call out a Young Holiday with low following but, the above mentioned with huge following? You see why it’s ok to think otherwise?
Y’all can come under this post and make it seem like this is hate on Enow, but you’ve never responded to us being positive though ( assuming you’ll consider this negative energy). See, trying to make peace, weeks after responding sarcastically to Jovi with laughing emojis, which you all saw as fun, when he (Jovi) said he’ll never make peace with him (Stanley), to coming to acknowledge a man he’s never accepted that is better than him, is nothing short of controversial.
You all expect Jovi to fall for that ? He’ll no! Man untagged himself. ko-c’s reaction said it all. He had even gone live to address Stanley a year back… What about Tenor? Deleting the former’s photo is enough said with one action. Maahlox, if not that he’s caught in the mix (with Jovi) which i think is the case would have slammed the King Kong openly, but we can’t assume their friendship status… It’s what it is !!
Jovi’s gesture to Mic Monsta at DOMAF is enough evidence that he can forgive Stanley, and yes, it might have been a display of Confidence and emphasis, but Stanley was disrespectful to Jovi when he openly showed him love in 2014, and other artist in a pulse Naija interview and other platforms. He might be using Nyongo to shoot his peace advocacy, but that’s not the way out. You’re literally puting other men on a hot seat, but we think it’s normal.
Jovi didn’t have plans to make peace with Mic Monsta, but did you notice that Mic got some more relevance after the makeup? Yes! Jovi got the most impactful fan base and Yiu can argue all you want.
What Stanley is trying to do is what Pascal tried to do at DOMAF in 2020. After trolling Jovi, he later on pulled up at the latter’s concert, and while going, he was like I’ll go there and nothing will happen. When he was flagged, he came on a live video to apologize and we all know there always the best way to do it.
If Jovi didn’t forgive Pascal who even cried on social media and unpublished his page, you think it’s Stanley’s acknowledgement he’ll consider ? We need to wake up!
Nyongo alone is prove that Stanley (Accroding to him) is the only perfect and high profile rapper in this country, contrary to his reply to Kenyan blog. We honestly want peace to reign, but it will hardly happen like this!
Listen to Nyongo here directed by Director Pointeh where Stanley gives some of his fans exposure, as he uses them in the well executed video. At least besides the message, he impacted and repaid many of his loyal fans with a cameo appearance.

As you rain insults, remember that Mboko Gang and Stanley Enow fans support one another, in a way that you can’t even imagine.
