French Cameroonian martial artist Cedric Ndoumbe talks about his fight earlier this year that was ended prematurely due to a toe injury he sustained in the MMA ring against Frenchman Baki.
Ndoumbe continues to blame the referee Marc Goddard for ending the combat prematurely.
“I can’t consider it a defeat. It was clearly the referee’s error. I never said I didn‘t want to fight” – Doumbe said.
The fight had gone two rounds already, and while the third round was on and running, Ndoumbe noticed he had sustained a toe injury. There was a little pin that he had wished to take out before continuing the time but the refree stopped the match and crowned Baki the winner.
Ndoumbe also reveals that if the same scenario had happened to his opponent, he would have given the opponent time to fix up and return to the fight. He also reiterates that he would never have accepted the victory if he was in Baki’s position.
“Never in my life! I won’t accept the victory and that’s where I’m not okay with him. There was no decision.” – Ndoumbe added.
There are speculations for a possible rematch between the two MMA Europe fighters, this time targeting a bigger paycheck and a bigger audience.
