French-Cameroonian professional fighter and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou was uncontrollable during his press conference on March 6, 2024 as Tyson Fury who was watching from the crowd interrupted his interview.
Ngannou didn’t take it lightly with the British man who went cold after getting an unexpected response from a highly triggered Francis.
Since their dramatic fight in the Saudi Arabian capital on October 28, 2023 where Tyson Fury won through a controversial decision by the judges, it’s been drama upon drama between these two heavyweights. Francis has felt even more confident than before after an outrageous performance against Fury last year.
“Your only chance is in the boxing ring with the boxing rules. When you step of that ring, you better stay five metres away before I stack your sh*t because if I lose it, you’re gonna have a really bad time my friend” – Ngannou told Fury.
“Respect the fact that boxing is protecting you (us) because without that, you’re nothing infront of me; I’ll b*at you everyday, twice on Sunday” – Ngannou continued.
After their combat last year, the Cameroonian was very vocal about the final decision that he believed favored Tyson Fury. He opined that the boxing committee favored Fury because they didn’t expect a boxing debutant to outperform the hottest name in the game the way he die.
Ngannou faces another big name in the days ahead and he does speak highly of the man in question. Ngannou is confident to takeout Antony Joshua who has only lost three fights in his entire career in the boxing ring with 90% of his wins being Knock Outs (KOs).
Ngannou also believes that the fight will be tougher against Anthony Joshua, because he has been warned after the Showdown against Fury, and will definitely be more prepared to face him.
‘The Predator’, Francis Ngannou, will be making his biggest amount in the ring ever as he targets a $10 million pay excluding Pay-per-view (PPV) and other benefits. Anthony Johnson on the other hand, will walk away with $50 million excluding PPV and other benefits.
Fans believe that Tyson Fury is looking for a rematch with Ngannou. This is because before interrupting the press conference in Riyadh when Ngannou was briefing the media, he had been throwing jibes at Francis.
“Francis needs to be grateful to me… I made him a millionaire. He needs to go down on his knees and kiss my feet” – Fury
It should be noted that the showdown between Ngannou and Fury in October 2023 was not a championship fight, even though it was recorded as an official fight. Therefore, we might be seeing a championship battle between Fury and Ngannou some time in the future, should there be a rematch.
For now, all attention is turned towards the big fight on March 8, 2024 between Ngannou and Anthony Joshua.
