Is Daphne The Feminist Every Society Prays For?

In early 2020, Daphne officially announced her nonprofit organization called Black Empowered Woman, also known as Be Woman by Daphne, that is aimed at empowering young women take responsibility of their lives and to provide mental and psychological aid for sexually abused girls. Her organization is all about empowering and celebrating black female excellence.

During this time, the singer set the tone on how she plans to be vocal about stoping the sexual abuse of girls and women, by shaving off all her hair to go bold, and by making a shocking public announcement about her own story of sexual abuse. It is as if Daphne had been born again, and saw life in a new light as her going bold was in a way quite symbolic as if she was “starting a new beginning in the line of feminism.”
