Hi THJ’ers! Hmmm so Oscar Award winning Actress – Lupita Nyong’o has been promoting her new movie lately called Queen of Kwata! But it seems likes its her choice of fashion that has been making way more headlines lately than the movie its self as shehas also been seen wearign a lot of African clothes! Specifically, clothes made of African print accompanied with headwraps making her look like a trur African Queen that she is! 🙂 For starters… she made a Cameroonian Designer called Kibonen Nfi very, very happy by wearing two of her outfits withing 5 days! Now how amazing is that? Well this time she has made another set of African designers called the DPiper twins VERY, VERY happy by wearing (and looking absolutely stunning in) one of their dresses at the Premiere of Queen of Kwata in Uganda! DPiper who are from Ghana are known for their stylish and funky African print outfits and we love a lot of their designs.
OK – So Lupita must be on a mission to promote up and coming African Designers and we aint mad at that!! If you’re an African Designer… maybe its time to send some of your designs to her camp because you just never know!!
