After successfully defending his Championship over the weekend against Robert Whittaker, Nigerian-New Zealand middle weight Champion, Israel Adesanya, Nigerian UFC fighter has shutdown any possible fight arrangements between himself and fellow Nigerian compatriot Kamaru Usman MMA saying “It’s more than money”.
Adesanya who flew from Nigeria to Switzerland, rose on top of the world with his Last Style-bending skills. He has successfully defended his championship five times and with a possibility of facing off against another African on top of the world, he however turns it down. According to him, it’s more about the “Legacy” because should it have been about money, he would have retired after winning his last two fights.
Adesanya equally slams his compatriot’s manager, saying he’s greedy and only cares about money. This is after he said he knows Usman and Adesanya are in good terms, but not best of friends. Signalling a possibility of a fight between both.
Adesanya, Kamaru Usman who are both from Nigeria and Francis Ngannou from Cameroon are making Africa proud of the UFC. No African will want to see these brothers face off against each other. This is a class act by Adesanya and must be highlighted.
