Patritotism can be defined as the quality of being unapologetically loyal or devoted to, and showing vigorous support for one’s country. This is where many of us have failed. We have put self-interest ahead of our country.
It is true that in most African countries, bad or poor governance has made everyone to shift their irresponsibilities to the authorities. Well, that is not the reason for this post, as it is meant to be a political one. In this post we will talk about Swagging King the rapper.
Swagging King aka King B, has displayed some versatility upon coming into the rap battle between various popular African rappers, that we have been following up all this while. But what caught our attention more was the idea of him putting “Cameroon” first.
Haven lived in the United States, it is easy to understand the aspect of putting your country first. It’s a lifestyle, a culture and it’s an uncompromising option.
King B might never have been part of the dissing going on between these rappers who seemed to be having fun while losing respect in the process. King B had promised to intervene if anyone, while coming at a rapper, mentions Cameroon, as he considered that as total disrespect.
He meant his every word and when he came for Lyrical Joe, he made it very easy and made the latter less important. King B did not even consider Lyrical Joe as an enemy, he considered him a nuisance. He just came to take him out of the way, which he has successfully done from the look of things.
If many of us would understand the aspect of putting the country first and really doing so, there will be a great difference. Lyrical Joe easily gained access into Cameroon because of the disunity existing among Cameroon’s entertainers, where their quest to take down a brother who is now an enemy gives room for the enemy to attack.
Many even go as far as revealing deep secrets of their compatriots just for him to loose and all they gain after that is the joy that their so-called enemy has lost.
