Plot Summary
Cyrus is a famous thief who leads a team: Denton, pilot Camila, hacker Mi-Sun, safecracker Magnus, and engineer Luke. They plan two jobs at once: stealing a Van Gogh painting in London and faking the kidnapping of N8, a famous NFT artist, in Venice. Cyrus explains that stolen paintings become more valuable, so they sell the Van Gogh for $20 million to buy N8’s NFT, which then jumps to $89 million. N8 celebrates with the team.
Abby Gladwell, an Interpol agent and Cyrus’s former partner, arrests Denton for the theft. Instead of charging them, Commander Huxley of Interpol forces the crew to help catch billionaire Lars Jorgenson. He plans to work with hackers to cause a flood in Europe and make billions by manipulating stocks with untraceable gold bullion.
To clear their names, Cyrus insists Abby join their team. They plan to steal the gold from Jorgenson’s plane mid-flight. They use a private jet to intercept the airliner, and Mi-Sun alters radar signals. Magnus cracks the safe, and after a fight with Jorgenson’s men, they take the gold.
Jorgenson speeds up the plan, catching them off guard. During the heist, a fight breaks out on the plane. Magnus escapes, but Cyrus, Abby, and Camila are captured. NATO nearly shoots down their plane, but they send a message to prevent it. The jet crashes at Jorgenson’s villa.
