English soccer giants -Manchester United have reportedly had a $10 million agreement with Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim, to replace the outgoing coach Erik Ten Hag, who was recently relived off his duties by the club after two years.
Manchester United and the Portuguese side (Sporting Lisbon) are not meeting on business terms for the first time, as their last meeting in 2004, saw the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to the Old Trafford. He went on to deliver unprecedented things for thr club before going on to sign for Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al Nassr.
Ruben Amorim, who was linked with other top European Clubs during the summer, like: Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus and many other clubs, was equally tipped to replace Guardiola at Manchester City but according to Fabrizio Romano, his new destination is Manchester United and they are set to have agreed terms for the Portuguese to fly to England to begin work with immediate effect.
The 39-year-old gave Sporting Lisbon, their first league trophy and league cup, stopping the sheer dominance of Porto and Benfica. He won two league titles, two league cups and a super cup during his tenure at Sporting CP
With Manchester united out of the top half of the premier league, Ruben Amorim, will be expected to bring back the Club to the top half.
