On Saturday 19th October 2019, at the Eko Hotels and Suits, Lagos, Nigeria, the entire Nigerian entertainment industry (movie, music and fashion) step out for an event to celebrate and award outstanding superstars. It was the Headies Award yet again and the musicians and Movie stars came out in their numbers for the event as usual.
The Headies Award that started in 2006 was in its 13th year of existence on Saturday and there were a lot of talking points, but the ones that stroke us most, was the fact that the hosts of the event completely stole the show. They looked sexy and compatible.
The host of the Event happened to be the exceptional movie star with her ever low tinted hair cut Nancy Isime and the hip hop super star Reminisce. As hosts, it is obvious that all eyes would be on them, and it is fair to say they were up to the task, as they spiced up the event with some unique outfits that turned the internet upside-down.
It is no news that Nigeria has the biggest economy in Africa, they have the biggest population and they of course have the biggest movie and music industry in Africa. This has got their stylists and Fashion designers to remain creative and hard working enough to force their superstars to wear home fabricated designs.
It is not because Nigerians love to support or consume home design, but it is because their fashion Designers have refused to fall below standard and they keep updating as their entertainment industry keeps booking!
The 12th edition of the Headies Awards, saw Star Boy Wizkid and Simi winning big time but the 13th edition had the likes of Burna Boy who has been consistently vibrant this year and Teni who has stayed relevant since she hit the milestone. Added to the list of big winners is The Bad guy Falz.
