During his latest interview with H Steph, Nigerian singer and songwriter Stanley Omah Didia popular known as Omah Lay, opened up about how he grew up. According to the singer, his childhood was not all fun, and he would not wish for another young person to go through what he went through growing up.
Omah Lay said he grew up among criminals and vandals, and indulged in illegal business at a pretty tender age.
I grew up amongst criminals, thugs and stuff like that. I grew up in the marine base, and if you know this place in Port Harcourt, you’ll know that not many people used to go there.
I grew up around the pipeline [vandals], illegal businesses and stuff like that. So, there were a lot of troubles for me but like I said, it is part of the things that made me what I’m today.”
Although the singer did not rule out the fact that his childhood was challenging, he also admitted that his struggles helped his growth a lot.
