Veteran Cameroonian singers Petit Pays and Longue Longue have been trending today and if you are wondering why, read further.
Longué Longué, who had been a torn in Petit Pay’s flesh over the years, recently requested for a possible collaboration with Petit Pays who unsurprisingly turned down the request with immediate effect, giving a possible rendezvous for a collaboration in 10 years. On his official Facebook page, Petit Pays posted a compiled video of the number of times he had been publicly slandered by Longué Longué since 2015.
An examples of some of the slanderous things said by Longué Longué about Petit Pay in the past are as follows, in one of Longué Longué’S interviews, he said this about Petit pays:
“He’s a cheat, a bad example to Cameroonian youths… he never contributes for anything, not even condolences. Kotti François his colleague died and he never even made a video to talk about it, but you all support him blindly”
In another interview, Longué Longué also had this to say about his about Petit Pays:
“They say he helps young Cameroonian artists, but what you fail to know is that before every collaboration you see, the young artists must give him like 1 million FCFA behind the scene.”
Fast forward to 2023, Longué Longué requested for a collaboration with Petit Pays, and the response from Petit Pays could not be more obvious.
“Grand Maitre, you know I’ve never really benefited from you, I am begging for your help, a feature or maybe a concert. It will create something, and also permit me to make some money… a Longué Longué/Petit Pays concert organized by me” pleaded Longué Longué on his knees!
In his response to Longué Longué’s request, Petit Pays said that after all the insults and pain he had caused him over the years, the “Bipolar” man is now begging for a collaboration!
“He’s badly brought up and he’s not alone. There are so many of them. He’s my younger man (brother), but I told him to wait for 10 years before anything can happen between us. The pain is still there” said Petit Pays.
Longué Longué’s words from the past have come back to hunt him now that he needs his senior colleague the most. It is obvious that Petit Pays does not need him whatsoever. Should a concert with these two ever be possible, it would surely be one of the most talked about Cameroonian concerts in the history of Cameroonian music. However, it is clear that we might never get to see this happen, except Petit Pays changes his mind subsequently.
