The delay in marriage has become a commonplace today. Parents and grandparents of Millennials are at a loss: their kids are in their late 20s but they don’t even think about marriage and family. Indeed, the average age at which people get married has shifted significantly. In America, it’s 26 for women and 28 for men, according to the latest reports. Is it good or is it bad to postpone marriage until later?

For them, marriage means the loss of freedom.
However, it doesn’t mean they stay away from romantic relationships. They engage in cohabitation, they explore their sexuality, but they don’t want to settle down in marriage. According to statistics, men and women who tie the knot after 30 have way more lasting marriages; the divorce rate among these couples is much lower than among younger families. And this is a substantial advantage. However, late marriages have their pros and cons.
