The Balafon Music Awards brought to you by Balafon Radio, is a yearly award show in Cameroon that celebrates Cameroonian music, its artists and people in the music industry. This years Balafon Music Awards ceremony which took place in Douala, Cameroon was one of the most talked about ended with a bang with a lot of well deserved wins by artists many we follow. It was well organized show and you can tell effort was made to ensure that both Anglophones and Francophones could watch and enjoy the show as well.
This year Balafon had a good turnout of artist of a lot of the artists who were nominated like Magasco, Locko, Mr. Leo, all of whom performed at the award show as well as Ko-C , Ben Decca and many more as it honored a wide range of artists which seemed to be a good reflection of today’s music amongst Cameroonians today. Winners too home an award which as well as large sums of money which was also given to its winners as part of the prize. Is the thought of winning money what it takes to get nominated artists to actually attend these award shows in person?
