According to The Hollywood Reporter, representatives of Rihanna have confirmed that the singer is expecting baby number 2.
Rihanna’s subtle or should we say unofficial pregnancy announcement at the Super Bowl LVII during her half time performance was received with a lot of mixed feelings as many fans took to Twitter to express themselves. Many complained that her performance was not up to par compared to other artists who had previously performed at the SuperBowls halftime show. There were many mixed feelings about her performance.
Many who watched her perform took to social media to complain about her performance. Many think Rihanna should not have taken a payment to perform knowing she was pregnant and knowing she would not give it her all as the halftime show is the most anticipated show during Super Bowl to be watching any perform that is sub-par.
While others disagree and think Riri did a great job, others think she made the show all about her pregnancy and not about giving a stellar performance for those who came to watch the game (and the show).
Other went on to unfairly compare her performance to other artists who have headlined the Super Bowl’s halftime show to that of Shakira and J-Lo’s duo performance at Super Bowl LIV in 2020, Bruno Mars in 2014, the late Prince in 2007, and even Dre’s Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar performance in 2022, all of who fans think gave much better performances than the billionaire CEO/singer. Many sarcastically pointed out that they “fell asleep” during her performance and they expressed a deep disappointment because she lip synched and did not sing any new song.
Question: What are you thoughts about Rihanna’s performance and do you think she was fairly compared to other past artsist who headlined the show given that she was pregnant?
