Senegalese President Declares State Of Emergency To Fight Covid-19

Senegalese president, Macky Sall has tonight declared a state of emergency in his country and has ordered the defense forces to take immediate action in putting order in place. The declared curfew which went into effect after the President’s speech, starts at 8 PM and ends at 6 AM. Senegal so far has recorded 79 cases. In addition, the president has banned all social public and private gatherings.
- South Africa took the same action with military patrol which will run for 21 days, starting on Thursday, March 26.
- Ivory Coast also declared a curfew that will contribute in curbing the nationwide spread of the virus.
