Their song “Gaou” which is by far their biggest hit paved the way for a group that we have seen celebrate twenty years of “Magic”.
2. X-Maleya:
This is one the most hardworking groupsCameroon has had over the years. The group began as far back as 1998 and has gone on to create an unprecedented history, blending the genre of makossa for the dancing pleasure of the listeners.
The group used be made up of Roger Samnig, Auguste Rim et Haissam Zaiter. But over 22 years of teamwork and hardwork, one of the team members would breakout Leaving just two persons. This happened at the end of 2019, when August Rims quitted the group after getting married and the reasons for his breakout is still not revealed to the public. This therefore means that the group is now made up of a Duo – Roger and Zaiter. August found a new team mate and started his own label, implying that he won’t be looking back to his old group to fix things. However, the X-Maleya wheel is still spinning looking forward to more history.
