We must be honest and admit that Gomez’s career with the label started off well with two music collaborations (Pkoyo and My Lover) between the label mates which were songs that made highlights across the national territory at the time they were released.
However, Gomez has only had three singles released under the umbrella of Lionn Productions. This probably sums up why his career has been characterized by inconsistency. On the other hand, Kameni has been on fire since putting pen to paper. Since the label released a statement last night stating their peaceful separation with Gomez, many fans have dragged Kameni into the saga in most social media comment and threads for being the reason why Gomez hasn’t triumphed. Howbeit? Majority have even alerted that the label favored her progress over the former’s career, pertaining to the fact that Gomez was in the label before Kameni.
Funny enough, no one wants to acknowledge that Kameni has been diligent, steadfast, and committed to her growth over these few years. Even funnier is the fact that no one wants to understand that Mr. Leo and Kameni had a work relationship before he did with Gomez.
When Mr. Leo shot the video for his hit song “On Va Gérer”, Kameni was vixen in the video, and he had even revealed that the only reason why he didn’t hold Kameni down at the time was because he was struggling with his career. He equally trusted Gomez’s talent and was willing to ride through the cracks with him. In as much as Lionn Productions has been seemingly doing well and have created a lot of buzz over the last two years, they’re still a baby label and whether we accept it or not, Kameni has given the label some degree of relevance.
