Except for the one Comedian who did not seem too pleased or enthusiastic of this movement (but then again he is a Comedian), many fans and celebrities have been showing the Alpha Better Records Boss -Salatiel, much love on Social Media.
The Singer/Songwriter/Producer who has been busy working on his upcoming and highly anticipated album (scheduled to be released later this year), has been very vocal over the last few months about the need to stop the bloodshed and “war” currently taking place in his home Cameroon, especially affecting the people and children of Southern Cameroon.
What is popularly known as “The Struggle” or The Anglophone Crises has led to many people dead and many who have fleed the North West and South West regions for safer grounds in the French speaking regions.
In 2017 into 2018, many Artists were hit by Cameroonian’s vocally accusing Artists and Public Figures for not using their “voices” and well known image to stand up against these malicious acts and to denounce the violence and killings of particualry Anglophones taking place everywhere.
What people don’t know is that Salatiel was one of the first artists to address the issues going on and did so via one of his highly watched Facebook live videos.
Not only was he one of the first artists to address the Anglophone Crises but he also recently lost a very close friend/Pastor who was loved by many but was killed by a bullet in August resulting from all the craziness going on in the SW Region. Fast forward, now you see many celebrities holding signs for peace with the hashtag #WeNeedPeace. Some of Cameroon’s top artists also got together to sing a song called We Need Peace. Over the last few months, we have seen other artists singing songs of peace like Afro Gospel singer Nkuh Bandy who recently released a song called “Stop The Bloodshed” as well as four artists Lesline, Blaise B (signed under Salatiels record label), Ewube and Magical who got together to sing a song called “Stand 4 Peace” released in late September 2018.
In this new song called #WeNeedPeace, which started off the month of October with its release, major artists such as Blanche Bailly, Daphne, Minks, Mr. Leo, Pitt Bacardi, Magasco, Nabila, Ko-C and Edi LeDrae (Singer/Producer), all came through to make magic with each artist singing in their signature styles and vocal ability which makes them respectively unique and talented. So please take a moment and listen to this song and if you like it (we know you will), by all means feel free to share, Share, SHARE!
