South African singer Zahara could lose her house, as the bank housing her mortage loan Nedbank has given her few more days to comply by paying her past due balance which she has defaulted on or her house will would be auctioned.
The 33-year-old singer, opened up to her fans and well wishers by revealing that her bank was supposed to auction her Roodeport house on May 7, after she defaulted on her monthly loan payment of R17,655. She confirmed that the bank gave her a few days to make her payment to get her account back to good standing when she pleaded with the bank to give her a few more days to sort things out.
The singer has asked everyone for help and she is willing to use her talent to raise the money. South Africans have been known to give a helping hand to their celebrities during times of financial need. Most recently was the time when fans and well wishers helped award-winning kwaito star Bonginkosi Dlamini, popularly known as Zola 7, when a video of him surfaced recently that had people worried about his health. Zola, a musician, actor, writer, TV presenter, and philatropist who is revered by South Africans, found himself on the receiving end as everyone wanted to jump in and help him financially.
Now it’s Zahara who is expected to pay her bank R1.9 million in 4 days.
