“We Still Dey” is a cool love song that reminds me of something Jay-Z and Beyonce would sing as if to say “Us against the world” as seen in their Bonnie & Clyde video! As in any real-life relationships, there are Ups and Downs but as long as you’ve got each other’ and have got each others back, that’s all that matters right? 🙂
“We still dey” is an expression in Pigin English or Guinea coast Creole which translates to a concept of having each others back. It can be thought of as “holding each other down”. It literally means, “WE ARE STILL HERE“. The song features one of Cameroon’s Hiphop Legend’s and Radio personality Nabil4real of Nabstar Radio perfectly complements Gasha bad a$$, ride or die chic persona. The two of them actually play their respective roles perfectly and one might wonder if this video depicts their everyday life! Needless to say, We Still Dey is a song about Resilience and we give it two thumbs up! Watch the video and see for yourself.
